An immersive direct engagement with Hawaiian chant. Participants will be guided through a repertoire of chants to learn their history, meaning and application. Training will be given in traditional vocal techniques and exercises. Assignments and activities will guide in building understanding and relationship between chant and chanters. Course concludes with Hoʻike and ʻAha.

An immersive direct engagement with Hula. Participants will be guided through a repertoire of hula to learn their history, meaning and application. Training will be given under the traditions of KUAUNU, Under the direction of Kumu hula Lanakila Mangauil.
Assignments and activities will guide in building understanding and relationship between hula and dancers. Course concludes with Hoʻike and ʻAha.
